The Laird’s Willful Lass is the first book in a new series, The Likely Lairds by Anna Campbell. It was fantastic and I honestly couldn’t put it down!

Marina Lucchetti is a successful artist from Florence, Italy who has been commissioned to paint the Highlands. While traveling with her father they have a carriage accident and that’s when they meet up with our hero, Fergus Mackinnon who is Laird of Achnasheen. Marina’s father’s injury from the carriage accident has them stranded at the castle for several weeks….

I absolutely love Marina. She’s a strong, independent and successful woman for the time. Fergus who has been Laird of his clan since he was 9 is used to always having everyone follow his orders without question. Who doesn’t love a handsome arrogant Highlander? 😉 These two together were perfect and the banter between them was entertaining and humorous. There’s an immediate attraction between them from the moment they meet and Anna did a fantastic job of giving us a story to remember! Such a fabulous read from beginning to end! I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next book in this series!
