The Duke’s Match Girl is a novella and the third book in author Lila DiPasqua’s Fiery Tales series. Fiery Tales are erotic retellings inspired by Fairy Tales. The Duke’s Match Girl is inspired by the tale of Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Match Girl.

Leopold d’Ermart & Suzanne Matchet were friends from childhood. From the moment her father became the official physician for the family when Suzanne was 10 and Leo was 12 they were always together. Then one day 8 years later things changed between them, and Suzanne and her father left. Now a widower, Leo is free to pursue Suzanne again.

Oh my how I loved Suzanne and Leo! This was a wonderful story of friends to lovers and also second chances. Suzanne is a smart, feisty woman and Leo admits he did Suzanne wrong and is willing to do anything to get her back. The secondary characters in this book were extremely entertaining and the scene towards the end of the book with the matches was the perfect ending for this couple! I absolutely loved this novella and highly recommend it!
