Sleeping Beau
(Fiery Tales #3)
Lila DiPasqua
Adrien d’Aspe, Marquis de Beaulain/Catherine

My Rating:

Inspired by the tale of Sleeping Beauty–a hot historical romance novella from the acclaimed Fiery Tales series. One sleeping rake. One scorching kiss. One night of unforgettable passion…
Five years ago, the notorious rake, Adrien d’Aspe, Marquis de Beaulain, was awakened by a sensuous kiss–and experienced a night of raw ecstasy that was branded into his memory.
Years later, he spots his mysterious seductress–and this time, he has no intention of letting her go..
**NOTE: Originally published in the AWAKENED BY A KISS anthology.
Sleeping Beau is a novella and the fourth book in author Lila DiPasqua’s Fiery Tales series. Fiery Tales are erotic retellings inspired by Fairy Tales. Sleeping Beau is inspired by the tale of Sleeping Beauty.
In a night of desperation, Catherine goes to extreme measures to prevent an arranged marriage that she does not want. After spending a night of sinful delights with Adrien d’Aspe the Marquis de Beaulain she leaves without a trace. Five years later they meet again by chance and both are shocked to see one another again. Catherine wants to escape and Adrien wants answers….
After hearing Catherine’s story and knowing why she did what she did, I really ended up liking her. She hasn’t had it easy, with a father who cared more about elevating his family status than his daughter’s happiness, and a husband who made her miserable during their marriage. I liked Adrien too, especially in that he doesn’t want revenge, he just wants answers from Catherine. When these two decide to enjoy each other for the next few days, they both start to struggle in the knowledge they will have to walk away from each other again… With a few surprises along the way, this was another fun, hot and steamy read from Lila Dipasqua! Loved it and highly recommend!

I read the Awakened by a Kiss (book 1) anthology back in 2011. It was my first introduction to Lila DiPasqua’s work and I have loved her books ever since.
